The Warren Wilson men’s basketball team used a 13-3 run in the middle of the second half to defeat Berea College 66-61 on Sunday afternoon.
The Owls were down 44-36 with 11:00 left in the game until Anthony Barringer scored seven consecutive points to key a 13-3 Warren Wilson run. Rashad Ali would cap off the run with two of his team-high 16 points to give the Owls a 49-47 lead with 4:25 to play. Warren Wilson subsequently made its free throws and got key stops down the stretch to seal the win.
Dan Jackson scored 14 points and 5 rebounds, and Anthony Barringer added 13 points along with 5 assists for the Owls. Ty Johnson contributed 10 points, and Pat Albright had 7 rebounds off the bench.
Warren Wilson has won four straight games and six of its last seven. The Owls finish off the fall semester at home on Tuesday night against NCAA Division-II North Greenville at 7:00.
