Fifteen WWC students selected for social work honor society

Fifteen Warren Wilson College students have been selected as charter members of Pi Omicron, the new WWC chapter of Phi Alpha, the Social Work National Honor Society.

The following Warren Wilson students are being inducted May 15 at the Social Work Graduation Brunch: Elizabeth Brenum, Allison Canon, Mia Carrasco-Songer, Amelia Cleveland-Strang, Kate Donaldson, Sara Fagan, Amanda Gardner, Meghan Hollifield, Amanda Lanier, Laura Lowenstein, Lindsy Robertson, Sara Rubin, Philippa Sanders, Sara Slaughter and Katherine Strauss.

Eligibility standards for Phi Alpha are as follows:

- Declared social work as a major.
- Achieved sophomore status.
- Completed 8 semester hours or 12 quarter hours of required social work courses.
- Achieved an overall grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Achieved a 3.25 grade point average in required social work courses.
