Outdoor Adventure
Our campus features 1,100 acres. 25 miles of hiking trails. A river. A climbing wall. A 600-acre forest. Two dozen kayaks. An Alpine Tower. 9,913 cataloged trees. One of the country’s only Outdoor Leadership degree programs. And don’t forget Adventure Programs, your ticket to exploring the outdoors on our campus and beyond.
Welcome to the Great Outdoors
If you’re looking for outdoor adventure, you’ve come to the right place. Warren Wilson’s 1,100 acre campus is your playground, and it extends into the Blue Ridge mountains, where you can spend your weekends climbing, kayaking, canoeing, canyoneering and more.
Don’t Take Our Word For It
Rankings don’t mean everything. But Warren Wilson has been recognized over and over for providing access to an impressive outdoor experience. Here are just a few:
- Princeton Review’s “Green Colleges”
- Best Value Schools’ “Top 50 Outdoor Schools”
- College Magazine’s “Top 10 Greenest Campuses”
- Sierra magazine’s “Cool Schools”
Warren Wilson is proud to offer one of the few Outdoor Leadership and Outdoor Business programs in the country. While Outdoor Leadership prepares you to use adventure and the outdoors for leadership development, education and personal growth, Outdoor Business combines the skills you would develop in both the Outdoor Leadership and Business majors together for a unique program that prepares you for entrepreneurship and leadership in the world of adventure.
