Cowpie Café offers 100% vegetarian meals with substantial vegan and gluten-free options. In the year 2000, students led the charge in creating food options for students with stricter dietary standards. Since then, Cowpie has remained a café for students, by students. Open Monday through Friday, students cook all of the dishes at Cowpie and are the driving force behind new recipes being offered consistently. The campus garden provides a substantial portion of the produce used in meals!
Cowpie is available to students participating in the meal plan program and costs the same as eating in the Gladfelter Dining Hall! As part of the emphasis on healthful eating, meals are prix fixe rather than an all-you-can-eat buffet.
