I grew up surrounded by entrepreneurs, and knew I would be filling in their shoes one day. However, my life took a turn when I got the opportunity to work as a teaching assistant at Tribhuvan University. I fell in love with teaching, and after completing my MBA, I embarked on my teaching journey. Meanwhile, I also co-founded a venture that facilitated the growth of small businesses. However, I wanted to do more in the area that intersected teaching and entrepreneurship — which led me to pursue a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. After completing my Ph.D., I joined Warren Wilson College, where I teach and conduct entrepreneurship research and work closely with the local entrepreneurial community.
