A potter for most of my adult years, I studied at Alfred University and received a MFA from Louisiana State University. I’ve been teaching ceramics at Warren Wilson since 2004. Although my training included all clay mediums, I now work exclusively in porcelain. I’m particularly inspired by 18th and 19th century decorative arts, particularly utilitarian table wares and Serves porcelain, as well as plant forms. My work is featured in national and international exhibitions, museums and private collections. Among many other art centers I teach ceramic workshops at Penland and Arrowmont School of Crafts, Italy and Israel.
