My Story
I grew up in Mississippi and spent my whole childhood outside enjoying nature. I completed my bachelor’s degree in biological sciences at the University of Southern Mississippi. While working for the United States Department of Agriculture and working on my master’s degree at the University of New Orleans, I realized my love for science education. As an instructor of biology at both Mississippi University for Women and the University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast, I garnered twelve years of experience teaching various biology classes. As the supervisor for the Biology and Environmental Studies Crew, I am able to work closely with faculty and crew members to facilitate a positive learning experience for our students. Warren Wilson College is a truly special place and I feel incredibly fortunate to work here.
Jill ArnoldThe reason I wanted to work at WWC is because of the students. I have never worked with a more passionate, caring group of students in all of my years teaching at universities.
