I grew up in Smithtown, NY and came down to North Carolina in 2010 and received my BS in Biochemistry and Outdoor Leadership at Warren Wilson College in 2014. While at Warren Wilson, I was on the mountain bike and swim teams, learned to paddle and fell in love with outdoor activities. After I graduated, I worked at North Carolina Outward Bound as a river specialist and instructor, while training full-time for wildwater as a member of the national team. Over the next five years, I worked, trained and travelled/lived in many different countries while pursuing my athletic endevours. In 2020, I retired from wildwater paddling and began racing as part of Team Epic Kayaks on surfskis. In 2022, I began working for Epic Kayaks and Paddles as a sales representative and returned to Warren Wilson as a canoe instructor.
I went to school at Warren Wilson and got to explore not only my academic interests, but my outdoor interests as well. I learned to paddle here, among other things, and I love being back giving folks the chance to explore and experience the outdoors in the setting I fell in love with these activities.
