All the Details

  1. Newly Admitted?

If you’ve been accepted to Warren Wilson and are ready to commit, please pay your $300 enrollment deposit online as soon as possible. Your deposit is nonrefundable and will go straight to your first semester’s bill. Note that you will need to have or setup your WWC Admissions Portal login. Can’t get your login to work? Email us and we’ll be glad to help.

Once you’ve logged in, fill out the Offer of Admission Reply Form (if you haven’t already). After that, you will see a new item on your Application Status Page that says, “Enrollment Deposit – Submit Payment for $307.80 USD,” which is where you can pay online with a credit card. (The additional $7.80 is a 2.6% processing fee for credit card payments.)

You can also send a check in the mail made payable to: Warren Wilson College. Send it to:

    Office of Admission
    PO Box 9000
    Asheville, NC 28815-9000

Please put the student’s name on the memo section of the check. You’ll receive a confirmation email when we receive it.

  2. Complete Your Financial Aid

Complete the FAFSA, and (if applicable) verification process and/or North Carolina residency determination. (Domestic students only – International students do not need to complete a FAFSA.)

    • If you have not completed the FAFSA, you will only be eligible for merit-based scholarships.  If you would like to apply for need-based aid, including federal, state, and institutional aid, then you must complete a FAFSA.
    • If you are selected for FAFSA verification, you must complete that process before you receive a final financial aid offer.  Note the verification process can can take weeks — don’t procrastinate!
    • North Carolina residents must complete and be approved for NC residency on the state NC Residency Determination Service (RDS) website before being eligible for NC need-based aid and the Warren Wilson College NC Free Tuition program.
    • If you’re accepting your students loans, you must complete all loan paperwork before funds can be disbursed.

For help, contact the Financial Aid Office (phone or text) (828) 771-2082 or email finaid@warren-wilson.edu.

  3. Setup Your WWC Login Credentials and Email

Within 24 hours of your deposit, your WWC network and email accounts will be created. You’ll receive your username and a temporary password by email (different from your applicant portal login). Didn’t get it? Reach out to web@warren-wilson.edu.

Note: If you deferred from a previous term, you may already have access.

    To access your WWC email:

    • Visit mail.warren-wilson.edu or open Gmail.
    • Sign in using your full WWC email address (e.g., jdoe.f24@warren-wilson.edu) and your new permanent password.
    • If you’re already signed into a personal Gmail account, sign out first—or add a new Chrome profile to manage multiple accounts.

Be sure to check your WWC email regularly—it’s how we’ll stay in touch!

  4. Review All the Portals

Become familiar with the WWC portals and refer back often to be reminded of them.

  5. Accept Your Financial Aid Offer

Log in to your Financial Aid Portal to accept or decline your loan offer and complete any remaining steps. Your aid can’t be applied to your bill until you’ve responded to each loan offer.

All grants, scholarships, need-based aid, and work awards have already been accepted for you. Loans are optional—if you choose to accept them, be sure to complete Entrance Counseling and the Master Promissory Note at www.studentaid.gov

Need help? Your portal has everything you need to finish up!

  6. Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

Complete FERPA for Warren Wilson in your MyWWC portal. If a student would like to give someone other than themselves permission to access their financial aid and student billing accounts, they must complete the FERPA. Complete this before the first day of regular class.
