Yes! We have combined the Discovery Day that was originally planned for October 28th with the Discovery Day on November 11th, and we look forward to welcoming visitors that day. If you wish to schedule your own visit on another day, we are scheduling individual visits from November 1st onward. Please sign up for a campus visit or Discovery Day on this page. Daily life has resumed for much of the region following the hurricane. Power has been restored to all but a handful of customers (less than 400 in the entire region) according to Duke Energy. Power was restored to Warren Wilson Oct. 10th. All roads and thoroughfares are now open along with the airport. Water service resumed on campus on October 14th and is now available throughout the region. The county and city have instituted a “boil water advisory” for the area until further notice. For more information regarding water usage and suggested best practices while under an advisory, see here.

You can find the revised fall schedule here. Some classrooms may need to be reassigned. If this applies to you, you will receive an email from your faculty with the new classroom.

Students who may need to temporarily delay a return to campus due to extenuating circumstances should be in touch with their faculty member and/or crew supervisor to discuss plans and arrangements to maintain academic and work progress. On-line learning and remote work options will not be available in these situations and, while some limited flexibility will be granted, students should return to campus as soon as possible.

ADA academic accommodations are available for in-person learning only. Please contact disabilityaccess@warren-wilson.edu.

Information Technology Services expects normal internet to be restored Friday, Oct 25. If the campus is not able to operate at normal bandwidth, we will continue to use our temporary satellite internet. A Student-L message will be sent out on Monday with more information as needed.

College land experienced some flooding and downed trees. We will be asking students to stay out of the affected farmlands until cleanup is complete. Areas to avoid will be clearly marked. Our forest trail system sustained many downed trees and our trail system is currently closed. As we clear trails the community will be notified of which trails are open for recreational use.
