Donors may now create WWC Fund Named Annual Scholarships to honor loved ones and support Warren Wilson students with financial need. A gift of $5,000 or more to “WWC Fund — Scholarships” establishes the annual scholarship, which is awarded to a current student for one academic year. Unlike endowed scholarships, the full amount of the annual gift is awarded to a student. Donors have the opportunity to renew the scholarship each year.

Warren Wilson College is committed to keeping our innovative, inclusive, and experiential liberal arts education accessible for all. The percentage of our students who are eligible for Federal Pell Grants, meaning they display exceptional financial need, is 41 percent—well over the 34 percent national average of other colleges. Our donors’ generosity allows us to maximize the number of students who can benefit from our distinctive, hands-on education.

How to Establish a Named Annual Scholarship:

  1. Make a Gift: Make a minimum gift of $5,000 to WWC Fund — Scholarships.
  2. Donation Deadline: The gift must be received by May 1 to be awarded for the upcoming academic year.
  3. Name Your Scholarship: A member of our Advancement team will reach out to you to establish the name of your scholarship.
