In 1933, the Asheville Farm School created a report entitled A New Progressive Educational Program. They announced a bold vision—one that rejected the “standard educational procedures,” embraced “the changing conditions” of the students at that time, and promised education that gives “the student the first and last consideration.” The School promoted access and innovation to cultivate the minds and hearts of students.

Now more than 90 years later, Warren Wilson College stands on that hallmark with a renewed Progressive Promise. We are rekindling the progressive principles on which our College was built, reaffirming our commitment to the liberal arts and sciences for a positive impact on the world. Through learning by doing—in the classroom, in our work program, and in our communities—our students will gain tools and confidence to advance individual purpose in service to the common good.

You can help secure this future of the College by making a planned gift while at the same time ensuring you and your family’s future as well.

Why Make a Planned Gift?

Planned gifts meet the dual goals of providing for the future of the College, while at the same time assisting you in meeting personal and family financial goals. They can enable you to:

  • Leave a lasting legacy…in appreciation of what Warren Wilson has meant to you, your family, and your career.
  • Plan for the future…while retaining control of your assets during your lifetime.
  • Increase your income…by utilizing assets that are not productive.
  • Enjoy tax benefits…depending on the type of planned gift.

Remember all gifts can make a transformative impact!
