The Cowpie Café is Warren Wilson College’s student-initiated, student-run, vegetarian, sustainable dining option. Crew members are responsible for all aspects of food service including menu planning, food preparation, cooking, presentation, and clean up. General enthusiasm, the ability to work in fast-paced energetic environment, as well as a genuine interest in vegetarian and vegan sustainable food sources is a plus. The cafe serves lunch and dinner Monday-Thursday, lunch on Friday’s and dinner on Sundays. All crew members have Saturday’s off!
I have worked in the restaurant business for over 2 decades now, and running Cowpie is a dream come true. It’s a place I’m proud to work, with the majority of the produce coming directly from the College Garden, making everything from scratch, and upholding sustainable food practices. Working with the students, I am inspired to always keep learning in an ever-changing environment.
