Can I checkout headphones?

Yes! We have Sony MDR-7506 Studio Monitor headphones available to checkout with your student ID. Ask for Media Lab headphones up at the main library checkout desk.

Can I eat dinner in here?

We discourage the consumption of food and drink in the lab, but careful use of closed cups is welcome.

Can I download software?

You can’t personally download new apps on these machines, but we are happy to take your recommendations and install them for you! Email the Creative Technologies Crew to get that process started.

Can I store my data on these computers?

Materials saved to these computers won’t immediately disappear as on other library computers, but we highly discourage saving your work only to these machines. Please consider using an external hard drive or Google Drive storage for your work. The library cannot be responsible for lost work that has been saved on lab computers.
