The Office of Communications is responsible for strategically and proactively raising the profile of Warren Wilson College. It serves as the primary liaison for members of the media, covers newsworthy stories for internal and external audiences and strives to cultivate a press-friendly campus.

Communications is dedicated to serving the College community members—faculty, staff and students. In addition to assisting with story creation and non-paid external event promotion, the office works to prepare College experts for interactions with the press through on- and off-camera interview training and workshops featuring prominent members of the media.

Event Photography and Videography

Photography and videography may be captured by our Marketing staff at any public events.

Warren Wilson College often uses video recordings, audio recordings, and photographic images of public campus life, events, ceremonies and other activities to advance the mission of the institution. By visiting, registering as a student, being employed by Warren Wilson College, and/or being present in public settings, you authorize the use and reproduction by the college, or anyone authorized by the college, to any photographs, video, and audio, in whole or in part, while at Warren Wilson College, without compensation. The copyright of all photos, videos, and audio recordings made by Warren Wilson College employees will be retained by Warren Wilson College. The individual creators of the photos, videos and audio recordings will retain the right to use them for professional self promotion. Many college events are open to the public and attended by media who may use your image for news purposes. Warren Wilson College is a public forum and cannot control media coverage of our events.
