Mountain Term: Courses for Lifelong Learners

Mountain Term is a series of week-long adult courses that run May-June on campus, as well as a traveling course to Scotland.
Warren Wilson College is pleased to announce the launch of Mountain Term, a program for lifelong learners from the Asheville region and beyond. Mountain Term will run from May to June, and will include week-long courses on our beautiful campus in Asheville as well as a traveling worldwide course to Scotland.
Registration for the course to Scotland is officially open! The trip will run from May 28 to June 9, and will be led by our very own Phil Jamison, nationally known as a dance caller, old-time musician, flatfoot dancer, and scholar of traditional Appalachian music and dance. In Scotland, radio broadcaster and writer Fiona Ritchie will join Phil to help travelers discover the delights of the Scottish Highlands. Travelers may know Fiona from NPR’s “The Thistle & Shamrock” radio show.
More details coming soon about our other week-long courses on campus that will be included in our inaugural Mountain Term. To learn more, visit https://www.wwcmountainterm.com/ or contact Anna Welton, Associate Dean of Community & Global Engagement at awelton@warren-wilson.edu.
