Swannanoa Gathering Summer Concerts

Join us for one of the public concerts during the Swannanoa Gathering. The concerts feature some of the finest folk arts performers in the world.

Old-Time Week Concert I – Monday, July 22

Old-Time Week Concert II – Wednesday, July 24

The campus of Warren Wilson College serves as the home for the college’s program in continuing education, the Swannanoa Gathering, a series of week-long workshops in the folk arts, which draw students from as far away as Japan, Australia, France and Hong Kong to take classes in everything from fiddle to clogging to storytelling. Some of our programs feature public concerts by staff members in the College’s Kittredge Theatre.

All shows begin at 7:30 p.m. in the college’s Kittredge Theatre. Tickets are $25 per concert. During Old-Time Week, ticket price includes dances following concerts. Children under 12 are $12.

Limited tickets are available in Asheville at Malaprops Bookstore, in Black Mountain at Acoustic Corner, at the Warren Wilson College Store and at the door. The WWC Store is the only vendor accepting credit cards; the rest are check or cash only. For concert info, call 828-771-3761.
