Biodiversity Conservation Information System – "joint initiative of eleven programmes and partners of IUCN-The World Conservation Union, the Biodiversity Conservation Information System (BCIS) seeks to support environmentally sound decision-making and actions affecting the status of biodiversity and landscapes at the local, national, regional and global levels through cooperative provision of data,
information, advice and related services."
Chemical Scorecard – a wonderful interactive source from the Environmental Defense Fund allows you to type in your zip code and find out what companies are dumping how much of what chemical contaminants, what health effects, if known, these chamicals have, and how your county compares with other counties in the state. It also includes a form for faxing your questions or complaints directly to the companies.
Climate Change – primarily composed of the 21-page "Facts and Figures" chapter of the book Climate Change, published by the Pew Center.
Conservation Databases – links to databases on forest preservation, endangered species, protected areas, marine resources, biodiversity, etc.
DOE Information Bridge – a searchable index and full text database of all research done by and for the Department of Energy since 1996, with projects in biology, environment, physics, chemistry, and engineering.
