The final meeting for Service Learning Advisory Committee was centered on discussion about the new service commitment and sub-group updates which include the communication group, program group, rubrics group, and community partners group.  The meeting concluded with announcements. Read the minutes

Two primary topics were discussed at the WPAC meeting. They included revision of the mission statement and a revisit to the Shop Use Agreement. Action items were decided. The May 10 meeting is cancelled so the group will reconvene September 6, 2012. Read the minutes

The last Community Meeting of the year ended with a cake social and opportunity for the community to give Forum and Caucus feedback on how they think our new governance is working. The meeting began with committee reports. Deborah Anstrom spoke to Caucus about struggles with student access to the night pasture. Mallory McDuff led conversation with students about changing the location of a path so that students aren’t walking next to staff housing. Announcements followed the discussion. Read the minutes  

After Committee Reports,  our new president, Steve Solnick, visited Caucus where he responded to questions from the students.  Some questions included who were his mentors in his life, challenges to address on campus, his thoughts about student activism, why he chose to apply at WWC, his experiences at the Ford Foundation, and many more.
