Warren Wilson to Celebrate Constitution Day 2013 With Steve Solnick Lecture

Warren Wilson College is celebrating U.S. Constitution Day 2013 on Sept. 17 with a lecture on democracy by WWC President Steven L. Solnick. The lecture, free and open to the public, begins at 7 p.m. in Canon Lounge of Gladfelter Student Center.

Solnick, who holds a Ph.D. in political science from Harvard University, was assistant and then associate professor of political science at Columbia University for nine years before joining the Ford Foundation in 2002. He became Warren Wilson’s seventh president in July 2012.

The annual Constitution Day commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787. For more information about the Solnick lecture, sponsored by Warren Wilson’s Lyceum Committee, call 828-771-2092.
