Career Services Made Simple

by Tim Burkhardt, staff writer

This semester, Career Services has unveiled its new online system: OWLink. This new tool is a convenient way for Warren Wilson students and alumni to use the website to find out about job openings and internships, and post their resumes for potential employers to review. Now, instead of collecting tidbits of information about internships and jobs off of the inside page, Wilsonites have a one-stop center for employment and academic information.

Office Hours:
Monday- Friday: 8:00am- 12:00pm, 1:00pm- 5:00pm,
Monday- Wednesday: 6:00pm-8:00pm

Employers who are in need of employees can post job and internship opportunities directly to OWLink. Potential employers can search for different criteria under student profiles. Someone looking to hire can look at student degree levels, majors, graduation dates, and more in order to find someone specifically suited to the task at hand.

As well as waiting for employers to seek out students, OWLink and the Career Service department can also help place specific students in jobs that are tailor-made for them.

“We can use profiles to send target e-mails to students who fit criteria that employers are seeking,” said Wendy Seligmann from Career Services.

Seligmann went on to say that all employers who use OWLink are screened by the college beforehand.

Open Resume Review Hours:
Tuesdays: 11:00am- 1:00pm and 6:00pm- 8:00pm
Wednesdays: 3:00pm- 5:30pm

OWLink provides information about upcoming service, education, and work crew experiences, making it the simple way to keep track of important events throughout the school year. On-campus work crew supervisors will also be able to post any openings available on their crews. To register as a student, alumnus, or employer seeking employees, go online to https://warrenwilson-csm.symplicity.com/, or stop by the Career Services office in upstairs Dodge.
