At home in the New Year

Just before Christmas, Rochelle Thom and her children settled in to their brand-new Habitat for Humanity home in Swannanoa, N.C. Rochelle, a kitchen manager working for Sodexo at Warren Wilson College, is a first-time homeowner and a single mom who has worked hard to create a better life for her two children.

Class of 2017 arrives on campus

The school year has begun at Warren Wilson College, with a freshman class that brings a wealth of diverse experiences to our campus in the Swannanoa Valley. On August 20, parents, students, staff and faculty helped the new class settle into the residence halls and get to know the campus.


WWC men’s basketball team advances to USCAA national title game

Art faculty lecture and exhibition

On Thursday, at 7:30 p.m., Julie Levin Caro will present the lecture “What is a collage aesthetic? A brief history of collage in 20th century art” at the Black Mountain College Museum and Arts Center.

“In/Between: Time in the Desert,” a selection of Eric Baden’s photographs from Peru, will be on display in the Holden Gallery until February 20. A reception will be held at the gallery on Fri., Feb. 1 from 6-8 p.m. with an artist talk at 6:30 p.m.
