Adam Falkner, poet, teacher and founder of the Dialogue Arts Project, is coming to Warren Wilson College April 11-12 to lead two workshops and host two celebratory events.
According to its website, the Dialogue Arts Project “partners with organizations to create energizing training experiences in order to help participants collaborate and communicate more effectively across lines of social identity. By combining performance, participant art creation and facilitated dialogue, DAP seeks to reinvent the current diversity training experience.”
Falkner and his associate, award-winning poet Carlos Andres Gomez, will host an opening celebration April 11 at 7:30 p.m. to kick off the weekend of workshops. On April 12, there will be a workshop for faculty and staff from 9 a.m. – noon and for students from 1-5 p.m. That evening, at 7:30, Falkner and Gomez will curate a performance of the concepts learned during the workshops that will be open to the greater campus community. All events will be in Kittredge Theatre.
