WWC Director of Spiritual Life and Chaplain Brian Ammons sat down with President Steve Solnick on Wednesday evening for a cozy fireside chat in the Work Program Office. Students gathered around the pair to hear the president’s stories about his academic endeavors, career, and the journey that led him to Warren Wilson College. Solnick shared the path he followed that brought him to where he is today. He offered this advice to students: “The worst way to live is thinking about what you didn’t do.”
From participating in theater and writing for the MIT newspaper, to traveling from overseas to assume the presidency here at our college, President Solnick has had a variety of work experiences. He is currently in his fifth career and says he does not regret anything that came before. This chat was a great opportunity for students to personally interact with our college president and learn about what led him here.
