The 5th Annual Academic Capstone Carnival is Monday, May 6, and Tuesday, May 7. This annual academic conference allows outstanding senior students to present the results of their capstone research, creative writing and internships. This year there are over 90 students presenting their capstone projects and an additional 37 presenting posters. These students represent the departments and programs of Sustainable Business, Creative Writing, Global Studies, Social Work, Sociology and Anthropology, Philosophy, Psychology, Environmental Policy, Math, History and Political Science, Religious Studies, Integrative Studies, Traditional Music, and the Natural Science Seminar.
In addition, the Capstone Carnival celebrates the release of the second edition of Auspex, the college’s undergraduate research journal. The release party is scheduled for Tuesday, May 7, 4-6 p.m., and features the work of seven students who presented their research last year.
