Weather conditions vary considerably in Western North Carolina. The first rule is to use your own best judgment before you attempt to drive in snow and ice. If you want to check your route, use the NC DOT Travel Information System, which allows you to check conditions for specific regions, routes or counties. The system features an adverse weather tab for reporting road conditions. As always, you can call Public Safety for conditions on and around campus: (828) 230-4592.
