The Warren Wilson men’s basketball team used a 13-0 run early in the second half to win at Montreat 74-57 on Tuesday night. It marks the fourth win in the last five games for the Owls and the third consecutive game holding an opponent under 60 points.
Montreat took an early six point lead nine minutes into the game but a late first half run gave the Owls a 37-31 halftime advantage. The second half was all Warren Wilson from the start as the Owls went on a 13-0 run and never looked back.
Rashad Ali led Warren Wilson with 19 points and eight rebounds. Dan Jackson added 15 points and nine rebounds, and Raysean Love scored 14 points including four of six from 3-point range.
Warren Wilson had 21 assists to just four for Montreat. Anthony Barringer passed a team-high 10 leading the way for the Owls.
The win is the third consecutive opponent Warren Wilson has held under 60 points and the fifth straight under 65. The Owls are back on the road Thursday at Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia, at 7:00.
