The International Programs Office is proud to announce the winners of this year’s International Photo Contest. We had 82 individual submissions representing 31 countries with one winner for each of the following categories:
People’s Choice– While the contest was on display in the library, community members were invited to vote on their favorite single photo. The winner is submission 80, depicting a mariachi band member in Arteaga, Mexico, taken by Johanna Rotondo-McCord.
Best Cross-Cultural Experience/Interaction– This category winner was decided by the International Programs Committee, and the winner was submission 67 by Rebecca Moss, taken in outside of a mosque in Turkey, entitled "New Turkish Friends."
Best Scenery/Landscape/Nature Phot– Also decided by the International Programs Committee, this category’s winner was submission 18, taken by Emily Brigham, of a gannet in flight in northeastern Scotland.
Each winner received a gift certificate to Ten Thousand Villages and the winning photos will remain on display in lower Laursen until the end of the fall semester.
Congratulations to the winners, and thank you again for all your amazing submissions!
