Coinciding with National Weatherization Day, Asheville Mayor Terry Bellamy proclaimed Oct. 30, 2008, to be INSULATE! Day in the City of Asheville. Launched by WWC’s Environmental Leadership Center, INSULATE! is a program that reaches out to local homeowners below the poverty level and insulates their homes free of charge, thus reducing utility bills and carbon footprints.
