It gives me great pleasure to announce that Jonathan D. Ehrlich has accepted the position of Vice President for Administration and Finance at Warren Wilson College. He will begin July 2008, after the retirement of our current VP, Larry Modlin, who has given the College 19 years of excellent service.
Jon Ehrlich has extensive experience in business and finance positions at institutions such as College of the Atlantic, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and Rollins College. His educational degrees include a B.A. in Geology and Geography from Middlebury College, an M.A. in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont, and an M.B.A. from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College. In addition, he completed a CFP (Certification in Financial Planning) program at Boston University and extensive graduate work in Environmental Planning at Arizona State University. Clearly, Jon has both the academic and work experience to prepare him for the multiple demands of the VPAF position at Warren Wilson College.
My thanks to all of you who participated in the search process. In particular, I appreciate the considerable time invested by the search committee and Gail Baylor. Committee members included Margo Flood (chair), Richard Blomgren, Paul Braese, John Brock, Mary Davis, Katie Green, David Harper, Mandy Monroe, and Kathy Pack.
