In her narrative on Warren Wilson, guidebook author Lucia Solorzano writes: "If Warren Wilson College had a motto, it might be 'Work for yourselves, work for others,' which is exactly what the 820 undergraduates enrolled at this woodsy North Carolina campus do."
Solorzano’s "Bottom line" on the College notes, "An undergraduate once equated being at Warren Wilson with living in the real world: 'You acquire knowledge, you go to work, you interact with people, you learn from experience, and you grow up. Only here, the weak get stronger and the stronger excel.'"
