WWC women finish 2nd, men 3rd in cross-country championships

The women’s team, led by All-Americans Kain (26:47 in the 6K) and Sophia Levin-Hatz, finished second in the nationals for the second consecutive year. The Warren Wilson men, behind Biederman’s 31:10 in the 8K, took third place in the team standings on what Coach Galen Holland termed “a very tough course.”

“I couldn’t be more pleased with our runners,” he said, “and I’m proud of every one of them.”

The Owl men and women also earned another distinction: seven Academic All-Americans, highest number of any team at the national championships.
